I am SO sorry to have been such a bummer about the fact that BP may have permanently poisoned the oceans.
I don't know why it was so upsetting to me earlier, the idea that mankind could so thoroughly fuck everything up...
A giant blob of oil beneath the surface of the water, immeasurable in size and invisible to satellite imagery, slowly moving across the globe suffocating all the turtles, whales, coral and plankton...
SO sorry about that, I guess it just seemed like a big deal at the time.
I will try to put these thoughts out of my mind for a while and go back to talking about "trending" and "spending".
