I am FRUSTRATED!!!
I just want to post a picture!
And my computer is starting to act kind of "wonky".
Like the dock will be really stubborn and also when I try to start Safari it will come up blank.
It is playing mind games with me!
Last time I checked, it is not my job to tell my computer what I want it to do.
It is the computer's job to scan my eyes for subtle signs of emotion and stress, and THEN follow my cues and do my bidding.
Just like a horse does.
Have you ever been fired from a job?
Or have you ever "quit" but in your heart of hearts you know you were fired?
I have quit a lot of jobs before it got to that point.
Actually being fired though, that is not something that has happened to me a lot.
I never been surprised by being fired.
I always sort of knew.
I could see it coming.
And what would I do?
Did I ever say, "Come on Matthew, get it together! You can prove them wrong! You NEED this job!"
Of course not.
I would show up (late), leave a floater in the toilet and slap my boss on my way out.
I guess that is just the way I was raised.
It is the Indian way.
HA HA!!!
I am trying to take things more seriously lately.
I am getting older, and I am getting ready to be more of a role model.
So I can't just up and leave my job anymore.
I need to think ahead, more than just a month or two down the line.
Am I sad about this?
In a way, Hell Yeah I am.
But you know, IT is not so bad.
Like, other than a funny story, quitting like I would never got me anything.
I don't know you guys.
I was just thinking about jobs and stuff.
I hope you have a good weekend.
If you want to talk about Brett Favre on Monday we can call it a date.
421 in Minnesota!
I hope it is to Donald Driver.

Fire main!

Hey dude!
I am sure that by now you have heard about Brett Favre.
I know, it was awesome.
I watched the game with Aaron.
But when Brett threw his 420th TD, I was jumping up and down and hugging a complete stranger NOT Aaron.
So, Truen was wondering if Brett Favre ever googles himself?
I wonder....
DUDE!
Have you ever heard Missy Elliot?
She is AWESOME!!!
Well, I hope you had a good day, I had a great day.

Week of the Moms!
Hey!
My Mom visited last weekend!
ANd then Truen's Mom is here right now!
It is a week of Moms!
I took my Mom to see the Packer game at Kettle of Fish.
We sat behind a fanatic.
A screaming, foaming fanatic that had a "man crush" on Brett Favre.
He said so.
He screamed so.
I watched the pre-game interview with Brett and I realized that he and Will Ferrell look an awful lot alike.
No one else thought so, so I am not offended if we don't agree on this.
Then Brett Favre went on to become the most winning QB in history.
So, that was nice.
Also, my Mom was super into it because they play a polka every time the Packers score.
She likes to dance and clap her hands.
I guess they only set aside something like, 30 minutes a day for dancing and clapping at the place she works now.
Hey A*bot, quit stifling my Mom!!!
(The * protects the identity of her employer.)
SEMI NEW TOPIC!
Likes:
I like to watch NFL games.
I like to eat snacks and scream at the TV.
I like to hang out with family and friends and eat snacks and scream at the TV together.
Dislikes:
Watching NFL games that are becoming more and more platforms for advertising.
Every single thing!
Instant replays, pre game shows, post game shows, half time reports...
VISA! FORD! WEB MD!
BO-RING!
I want a feature on my TV that not only blocks out all the commercials BUT ALSO blocks out all of the logos that are non-NFL related. Like the stupid pick up truck on the sports desk, and the credit card symbol in the corner of the sports ticker.
Well, I have to go to the dentist today, so I should go get nice and drunk because I aint paying for no pain pill!
Just stick a broom handle between my teeth and let it rip!

Curio-us?

Dude!
It feels like fall!
Isn't that a nice feeling?
Do you watch football?
If you do, then you have to like this fall feeling right?
Unless you live in some of the warmer states in which case, you are missing out!
Last weekend we went to watch the Packers play the Eagles.
And the Packers won!
AWESOME!
I tried to explain my love for the Packers last night.
I did a good job.
I think at one point Aaron started to tear up.
What a pussy!
Have you been in the subway?
Have you seen the poster for Monday Night Football?
The one with Brett walking off the field after he threw for 399 yards after his Dad died?
I think it is a very moving photo.
This guy named David Lynch said something about there being so much joy in doing what you love.
I always think about that.
This is what I think of when I watch Brett Favre play football.
Aaron grew up in Green Bay, WI.
He and his cousin would go and get the Packer's autographs.
One time Brett was walking with Don Majikowski who, at the time was supposed to be this player that was going to save the Packers from their years long losing streak.
So it was right after we got Brett from Atlanta.
And Aaron's cousin goes up to Don Majikowsi for his autograph, wearing a Don Majikowski Jersey and Brett says:
"You should be wearing a number four jersey..."
And Aaron's cousin, this little kid from Green Bay rolls his eyes and says:
"yeah... whatEVER"
HA!
And then they had him sign his Atlanta Falcons card.
Aaron said he would leave that card to me in his will.
SWEET!

Update.

So I got to play Basketball yesterday.
IT was great.
I like feeling tired from moving around a lot.
It feels clean.
Even though I was filthy by the end of the game.
I have to say that my secret to success is equal parts recently discovered "skill", luck, and indifference.
TA-DAH!...Swish!
Truen drew this picture of a man putting a box on a little boy's head.
I think it is cute.
lovematthew.

People with money.
Guess what I did?
I bought a TV.
I bought this TV so that I could:
1. Play my Nintendo Wii that has been in it's box for two months.
2. Not have to rely on my computer for watching DVD's.
Those are the two reasons I bought this TV.
So far it has been a good investment since the Wii is a lot of fun.
It not only let's me get some arm exercise, it also lets me play the new Legend of Zelda game.
Have you ever played a Legend of Zelda game?
This is more of the same, but somehow that never seems like a bad thing.
I never got into the 2D versions really.
So I can't speak for them.
But this is very much like the other 3D titles.
There is a new Metroid game also.
I would like to play that.
I really got nothing else to say.
Oh wait, did you see these new iPods and the lower price for the iPhone?
HA!
On the cover of the paper it had a quote from Steve Jobs and he says about the lower prices,
"That's technology."
Really?
I thought that was just bad business.
Andrew at work asked me if they would ever stop making iPods.
I said probably not until we run out of natural resources.
That made me sad.
Sometimes it feels like technology is the best/worst/best thing in the world.
It will always just keep moving forward whether you want it to or not.
Maybe instead of a robot revolution like in Terminator, it will actually be a people revolution where people get so fed up with trying to keep up with technology that they just stop buying these products with their planned obsolescence and the whole system gets jammed up and collapses.
Maybe?
Sounds like a blockbuster film.
